Stores usually just have them sitting out near the fruit, and some places even sell special stands for keeping your eggs on the counter top. Sure, they go bad slightly faster, but eggs hold quite well at room temperature. So if you ever run out of room in the fridge, now you know the first thing to migrate to the cupboard ;)
